聆聽練功報告之聯想

今年因為一些特別因素，多收了學生，其實超過自己的負荷。前些時候想該怎麼辦？想到思華，雖知他博士班功課重，還是希望他能抽空幫忙，思華愛護老師及大家，一口答應。諸位現在應能明白何以要請他幫忙。
為什麼不個別跟同學談論文或計畫？group meeting小組會議花的時間長，又勞師動眾？
「爾愛其羊，吾愛其禮」。Group確實花時間，尤其這次要求大家以ppt報告。我的著眼點是希望諸位可藉此切磋琢磨，為彼此的鷹架，互相支持。另外，我們的視野不妨大些，除了埋首努力自己的論文，也關心其他同學的進展，這才不失學習社群的意義。
這幾年指導學生的經驗，深覺論文撰寫跟學校成績表現關係不大，影響論文能否順利完成的最大的因素是個性。好的個性是主動積極，劍及履及，隨時報告老師論文進度，並掌握時程。相反的個性呢，大概就是凡事延宕拖延，不論動手動腳找資料，或提筆，應說敲鍵盤，不拖到最後一刻絕不開始…
此外，指導過程中最怕碰到「失聯學生」，幾個月沒任何訊息，好似從人間蒸發。許久之後來電或email，可對論文都避而不談。對一般學生，論文沒完成與我關係不大；但對於我指導的學生，我沒法不談論文僅哈拉閒聊。
從「無所不在」的ID角度來看，諸位的目標很清楚，就是要在一定的時間完成論文，順利畢業。過程中如碰到問題，一定要想法子解決，或者尋求變通可能，「山不轉路轉」，碰到問題卻不理會問題不會自動消失。Mission impossible影集、影片的幹員Ithan Hunt收到的指令會自動消失，那是電影，不是真實人生啊！
寫論文是學生的職志，最關鍵的人是自己，指導教授的角色僅是從旁輔助。我沒有辦法幫同學寫；更別說網路上充斥著代人寫論文的廣告了，這不僅違反學術，也違法。寫論文的過程不輕鬆，可如果定期跟我聯繫、經常檢視論文進度，對於交代要讀、要修改的都能照著做，論文順利完成可說是指日可待。
從現在開始，請大家隨時記掛著自己重責在身，就是要完成論文。今天讓思華坐了四個多小時，給諸位寶貴意見，謝謝思華專程過來幫忙。
