所長週記
2010.8.9 李宗薇
暑期所上老師驛馬星動，先是我帶學校研習團到韓國，七月中旬崔老師、劉老師分赴德國，七月下旬趙老師到美國，在國際研討會發表論文，然後八月初張郁雯老師獲國科會獎助及Fulbright獎學金赴美。我七月下旬首爾歸來，隔天到所辦，佳玲說趙所長已將所長室整理乾淨，我隨時可搬。我忙回說不急，大概心理上覺得離上班還遠呢。
這兩年，傳科所在趙貞怡所長主持下有聲有色。2008年秋，我休假、劉老師國科會出國，趙老師除行政與教學，指導研究生論文負荷尤重。然儘管如此，2009年2月成立「多媒體動畫學程」，2009年6月完成新聘崔夢萍老師作業。熟悉本校行政事務者都知新學程運作與新聘教師的困難，趙老師能逐一克服，委實不易。
我們都希望趙所長繼續領導，然因行政工作的壓力讓她身體無法充分休息；雖經所上、學校多方慰留，最後考量趙老師的身體才勉強同意。
所以此番回接所長是意外。一方面，這幾年陽春教授頗怡然自得，想在退休前專注在教學與研究；另外，是怕「搬家」，研究室的空間為所長室的1/4，四年前從所長室搬回研究室，正應了「由奢入儉難」。那回工程浩大，多虧李思穎同學幫忙；此番自我警惕，要過「簡單」、「減法」生活，一切少搬動為要。
行政一週，少不了學校馬拉松式的會議，還和同事跑了趟教育部，向部長、司長報告。所上年度大事－「電腦戰鬥營」已於8/3(週二)開始，今年由碩三孫偉勛任召集人，全班通力規劃，並下場講授，上課助理則由碩三、碩二同學擔綱，以傳承本所的優良傳統。上課首日趙老師、劉老師都勉勵日間及在職班的新生認真學習，不懂的地方要「不憚問」。
上週偶然讀到高希均教授的文章，提到「元老政治家對國家最後的貢獻，是在夕陽西斜的餘暉中，仍能為下一代提供旭日東升的遠景。」不敢自居元老，但忝為傳科所的創所所長及所上資深老師，以此自期。
